So Incipio said the cover was reenginered in 2012. Well it still cracks around hinges. There should not be in 2 pieces. The cover should be 1 piece. Then maybe it wont crack. When clamcase pro first came out. No problems,

I took care of it and was very careful, however it broke, and stopped closing. I have had it in storage after moving and I could not get the information on it to share with you. The right side of the clamcase completly broke i am trying to fix it with super glue and apoxie but if i do it wont be able to go to tablet form!!! It stArted to fall apart within a week and it surprisingly held together for 5 months begore breaking tight in the middle if english!!! I am so mad right now, this cost me 141 bucks at there website, never buying again, i am gonna switch to the lifeproof case with keyboard, at least i know that it can go underwater and is not made from cheap plastic of the same varaity as a 4 dollar squirt gun!!!!

The hinges were so tight and the plastic so cheap that it broke the day it arrived despite the fact the box claims the hinges can turn 360 degrees so you can use it as a tablet case. I had barely got it to 180 degrees when the plastic snapped off. Complete waste of money!

Three replacements and still issues... Clam case support finally refused to replace unit

Purchased a clam case pro for iPad 4. Original unit worked great for a few months then had cracks in the plastic around the hinges. Eventually, cover just cracked off while opening. Called customer support and they were great. They said they had some manufacturing issues, but they reengineeed the cover. I got a RMA number, sent via Ismail $15, and about 3 weeks later got a replacement. Two months later same issue. Repeat... RMA >> shipping >> new unit... Cover failure. Tried to call back but it looks like company was sold to Incipio. No longer can call a human, must send email. Sent email and was denied a replacement as it was now 12 months from purchase... Even though new unit failed in a couple months. Last unit was made on 2015/11. So it looks like they still have issues. BUYER BEWARE... I am into this for $200 including the multiple shipping, but lots of aggrevation... Looks like new company is not standing behind their product or even their replacements.

As others have said I too have experienced zero response from customer support at clamcase either via email or phone. the case I purchased developed cracks around the hinge 1 day after i started using it, then the hinge completely broke off just 1 day later. To date, I have called 17 times and sent 27 email messages requesting some sort of warranty replacement or a refund. There has been no response from the company. It is quite beyond me that this company is still shipping products - the operation is a complete scam.

It gets better: The New Backlighted Keyboard on Air 2 does not go to sleep!

The engineers at Clamcase boasted about their new material for the latest Air 2 case that has a backlighted keyboard. The new design has a larger opening for the power supply which is nice. However, that is also the same location where the magnet is located to put the unit to sleep when you close the lid. When you close the lid, the Air 2 is still on and will not go to sleep until you press down on the top of the case, right side, mid way down. My previous keyboard worked fine and after going through two replacements, SAVE your money. The new rubber pegs on the bottom come off easy as well. Shame the engineers failed to test this product properly. The backlighted feature is awesome and has three levels of brightness and an off feature as well. To bad they failed to make the sleep mode work. And yes, I had the proper lock/unlock feature on. Same issue as all others as well, had to call repeatedly for two days to get a body on the phone.

This is a great product....when it works. I bought one 13 months ago. Keyboard stopped communicating with the iPad. I had forgotten it may have been under warranty. I bought a 2nd ClamCase for the iPad on 11/7/15. The same problem occurred with the new case after only 2-3 weeks. But here is where the real problem lies: ClamCase's customer service. I have NEVER experienced worse. It took me 7-8 attempts before I finally got a person on the phone. They list only one phone number, and when called, I got a voice message saying someone will be with me shortly; then comes 3-4 minutes of elevator music; then a recording saying to leave a message and that the call will be returned. They never return a call. When I finally did reach someone, they tried to fix the problem with the product. No success. They said instructions for returning the case, which is under warranty, would be emailed. I got the email, but they gave no address to which to mail the case. Their web site has no address. Their support email address on their web site (support@***.com) is bogus. If you try to reach them using that website address, you get a Yahoo page with numerous topic on the ClamCase, none of which has anything to do with support. When you click on the sight, as per their instructions, the response is that the page is not available. So again, the only way to reach these people is by that single phone number that, in perhaps as many as 30 attempts, only once was I successful at getting through to a person, and she sent me instructions to return the case but listed no address.

Lack of Customer Support

Approximately 6 months after I bought my Clamcase the hinge snapped off. I simply wanted to get the case repaired so I attempted to contact their Customer Service Department. After repeatedly calling and being sent to a voice mail that resulted in my calls never being returned, I investigated the company's history. Know this: Clamcase DOES NOT HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. IF YOU BUY A PRODUCT FROM THEM AND SOMETHING HAPPENS, THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT.....YOU'RE OUT OF LUCK. My suggestion is to find a different, albeit reliable, company for a similar product. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Horrible Product Horrible Customer Service Horrible Company- I am disgusted!!!

My Clam Case Pro came out of the box defective. I tried calling 50 or so times. Submitted several support claims and I have never heard from them. The only way you can send the product back for a refund is to have a RMA, since this was a gift I was unable to open a RMA. This is the worst tech support I have ever experienced. Terrible company but could have produced a great product. If the product didn't fall apart. I am furious, that I allowed my family member to waste their money on this product.

Adding to the misery

I ordered and immediately cancelled the order for an iPad keyboard/case on the same day. Alerted the company by email when I found the phone number on their website was incorrect. Never got an email response. Telephoning customer support is also completely without result since there is never anyone there to answer the phone. I even got a non toll free number from my credit card carrier and tried every extension given on the message with the same result, nobody is there, leave a message. Now on week two of this with no response via phone or email. Disputing charge which will result in reversal but a lot of problems and frustration could have been avoided. Do not do business with this company without consideration of their absolute lack of customer support.

ClamCase Pro Issues

I purchased a clam case pro a few weeks ago and received it after a week or so. I didn't notice there was an issue until I tried to charge my iPad. The hole in the case doesn't accept the charging cable that came with my ipad. Them I noticed that the hole for the camera was not lining up, as well as the volume buttons and power button. I have made several attempts to call clamcase and several emails to no reply. I've been on hold several times waiting for them to find an advisor and I ultimatley get sent to a general voicemail which never gets returned. I just want to know why the buttons aren't matchin up.

Clamcase - Inablity to process orders as advertised

I just wanted to say how disappointed was in the way in which they handled my order for two Trooper Cases. I placed the order Monday October 1st at 8:00 AM. and paid extra shipping for 2nd day air in order to have the product for both my son's birthday on Friday October 6th. Their Website and My order states that it would ship on "1-2 Business Days". As of Thursday October 5th, the order still hadn't been processed. After emailing and calling support for two days they had no reason as to why it didn't go out and canceled my order. The company did not deliver the product as advertised and the way in which the order was handled was very unprofessional. I will not do business with them in the future.
